"Lost Boy Racer is a rare play in which the cast seem to be enjoying themselves as much as the audience... Blinding comic performances... acrobatic displays of physical theatre...vibrant pulsing electro-pop score"

LOST BOY RACER
is a quirky northern comedy-drama with a touch of blood sweat and tears, a large dose of cycling wisdom, lubricated with shampoo, fun and hi-jinx, with some off-the-wall bike antics and a love story of sorts…

Sean Racer used to be a popular energetic wildcat youth hooked on cycling.  Now he’s a bored, overweight 40 something tax inspector on the brink of a crisis.  Turning to Claude a sage-like ex-pro cycle mechanic, and encouraged by wily hairdresser Linda a serial tax evader keen to distract him from taking a closer look at her business, Sean hatches a plan to get his life back on two wheels.  He will fulfill a youthful dream: to ride the Tour de France.  That’s right, he’s going the distance, albeit on a bike on rollers in the shed.   Will he make it to the finish?

LOST BOY RACER
